Over the past year we’ve been busy here at Truss Systems working on a wonderful project, the new Hui Hui Restaurant, at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We were grateful to have been selected to provide the trusses for this new design build project, with a very unique structural design at this special location on Maui’s Kaanapali Beach with its spectacular view. As a design build project, we had the opportunity to work directly with the General Contractor, Swinerton and their design team of architects, engineers and sub-contractors to fulfill the project vision. We started with a preliminary plans, We expected changes along the way, which are always inevitable, everyone worked extremely well together to achieve the final vison. From the amazing final thatched roofs to the Building’s unique shape working with the entire team was both gratifying and very effiecient. As this project was started during the Covid Lockdown of 2020, the efficiency of online Zoom meetings to really collaborate on the special components and details of this project. This was a very challenging project, we are very proud to been a part of the Team.
